Not Mickey Mantle. Not Eddie Murray or Chipper Jones, either. Nope. The men who are tied for the most games in MLB history with home runs from each side of the plate are Mark Teixeira and Nick Swisher.

Teixeira's 14th instance of hitting a left-handed homer and right-handed homer in the same game came on July 31 of this season and Swisher joined him Saturday.

The blasts:

The Braves would end up squandering that 7-3 lead and lose, 9-7, to the Cubs, but that's ancillary to the point here. Let's stick with Swisher.

Here are the career leaders for games with home runs from both sides of the plate.

1. Swisher, 14
1. Teixeira, 14
3. Carlos Beltran, 12
4. Eddie Murray, 11
4. Chili Davis, 11
6. Mickey Mantle, 10
6. Ken Caminiti, 10
6. Tony Clark, 10

Among switch hitters in baseball history, Swisher ranks 18th with 244 home runs, one behind Mickey Tettleton. Teixeira is actually fourth (394) behind Mantle (536), Murray (504) and Jones (468). Still-active Beltran rounds out the top five with 386.
