Phillies interim manager Pete Mackanin said infielder Freddy Galvis may play two or three games at second base over the remainder of the season, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Galvis made his first start of the season at second in Saturday's loss to the Braves. Mackanin said he is making the move to give Galvis a change of scenery, but it could also be a sign the Phils want Galvis to get practice at second. He could lose his starting shortstop job sometime next season if top prospect J.P. Crawford proves he is ready for a promotion to the majors.
