PHOTO: Phil Coke asks student be excused for tardiness
Friday morning, Tigers players Torii Hunter and Phil Coke served up some coffee and doughnuts at a Dunkin' Donuts in Southfield, Mich. And Coke was nice enough to try to get a student out of a potential tardy punishment.

In and of itself, I wouldn't have posted that picture. But this one gets the nod because Coke was nice enough to try to get a student out of a potential tardy punishment.
Hopefully, the teacher/administrator making the decision is a Tigers fan, non-Jose Valverde division. Then again, if something goes awry, maybe "Dora Da Explorer" should show the authority figure footage of possibly the best glove spike ever. If anything's a difference-maker here, that should be it.
