Royals' Alex Rios on hand: 'It's still sore, but getting better'

Royals outfielder Alex Rios has begun fungo-hitting over the last few days and is seeing inprovement in his fractured left hand, MLB.com reports.

"It's still sore, but getting better," Rios said.

Rios has started long toss but has yet to begin catching a baseball. Out for more than a month with the injury, the outfielder is 9 for 28 with one home run, eight RBI and two stolen bases.
