Shocking photo: Travis Hafner wearing a glove
Something scary happened in Yankees camp Thursday. Travis Hafner put on a glove. No, not a batting glove. A mitt.
Travis Hafner only has a job because he can hit for power. He hasn't fielded a position in a big-league regular-season game since 2007 and has only played in the field in 72 of 1,101 career games.
Thus, when we learned Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira was going to miss a decent amount of games to open the 2013 season, nary a thought was given to Hafner playing any first base.
But now this happened (and it's not surprising the photo has a Zapruder-esque grainy quality):

I'm kind of scared. This is going to get somebody -- OK, more bodies -- hurt, right?
I mean, what's next? Grady Sizemore staying healthy for a full season? The Astros winning 60 games? The best I can come up with is that Justin Upton is going to become a "gritty" player this year.
