It took 247 at-bats, but Orioles shortstop J.J. Hardy finally hit his first home run of 2014 on Saturday.

The man who blasted 77 of them in the last three years combined knocked one over the fence in the eighth inning of a defeat of the Yankees. He added a single in the game.

Aside from his lack of power, Hardy has performed well at the plate this season. He boasts a decent stat line of .291/.319/.368.
