In recent years, Major League Baseball has decided on a theme song -- for lack of a better term -- for the playoffs. And then they make videos with the song and hammer you to a bloody pulp with said song. There's no escaping it, either, assuming you still want to watch baseball. They even played it over the speakers in the actual ballparks during the World Series (just as I thought I finally had escaped it). Seriously, listen to this song and tell me you don't wanna scream:

Anyway, the first promotional video for the 2012 playoffs is out, and evidently MLB wants us to hate ... The Boss? Seriously, Bruce Springsteen? Nooooooo!

Endulge, if you wish. If not, there will be about a trillion chances over the next two months to hear it.

It's actually pretty cool and gets me fired up for the playoffs. I'm just worried that by October it'll suck away my will to live.
