I still consider The Sandlot one of the best baseball movies ever for many reasons. It's held in high enough regard by the Yankees, apparently, for them to recreate one of the great scenes.

Now, how did the Yankees do?
Not sure I love Brett Gardner's portrayal of the bumbling Smalls, but Brian McCann as Ham Porter was pretty stout. I'm on the fence with Jacoby Ellsbury as Squints, too. Maybe he needs a run at Wendy Peffercorn?
Overall, though, it's the effort that counts. There's never a true negative with something like this during the spring.
