When you're down 2-0 in the first round of the playoffs, it's natural to start looking for adjustments that can bring you success. When you're down 2-0 in the first round of the playoffs and you're the No. 1 seed, that's doubly true.

Friday night, Brad Stevens has decided to swing for the fences with a surprising change to the starting lineup, as Gerald Green will get the call instead of Amir Johnson, who started the first two games of the series, and started 77 games for the Celtics during the regular season.

Interestingly enough, this is the first ever postseason start for Green -- who didn't start a single game for the Celtics this season, and has only played fives minutes so far in the series -- in his 10-year career.

Green is not a complete stranger to the Celtics' starting lineup, however, having started 29 games for Boston during his first stint with the franchise that drafted him back in 2005. But things are a little different in the league than they were back then.

With the starting lineup now looking like this -- Isaiah Thomas, Avery Bradley, Jae Crowder, Gerald Green, and Al Horford -- the Celtics will be exceptionally small to start the game, and it will be interesting to see how long Stevens stays with this group. Especially considering the way they've been manhandled on the glass, giving up 31 offensive rebounds over the first two games.

Green does give the starting lineup versatility on the offensive end, though, as he shot 35 percent from 3-point land this season, and the Celtics will have four perimeter players, plus Horford, who is more than capable of handling the basketball.

It's certainly an interesting move, and it will be fascinating to see how it works, but don't be surprised if Green gives the Celtics a boost offensively. He's absolutely not afraid to shoot, and had a few big nights when he actually got more than a few minutes of action during the regular season.
