James Herbert joins me on the return of the Eye on Basketball Podcast (after a brief vacation hiatus) to discuss the offseason reports of several teams, along with whether or not a team should be a constant punch line, and the proper flavor choice for frozen desserts. Here's a breakdown of what we discuss:
- Should the Sacramento Kings be the laughable meme they've become on the internet? Are all moves they make funny? Do they deserve the benefit of the doubt? Have they earned this status and how can they get away from it?
- Ananth Pandian reviewed the Dallas Mavericks in our Offseason Reports. Do their moves work in a vacuum? Why shouldn't you believe they got better for this coming season? Are they still a playoff team in the West? Does the fact that we're even asking that worry you about the Mavs?
- Matt Moore reviewed the Houston Rockets in our Offseason Reports. How big is the Ty Lawson move for this team getting to the next level? Are the Rockets the deepest team in the NBA? Will James Harden sacrifice responsibilities in the offense to help Lawson fit in? Do you play Lawson or Patrick Beverley at the end of a close game?
- James Herbert reviewed the Los Angeles Clippers in our Offseason Reports. Did Doc Rivers quietly have an incredible offseason? Do the Clippers still need a backup point guard or can they rely on Chris Paul playing as much as he did last season? Could Blake Griffin's awesome playoff performances carry over to next season? Is this team a bunch of chokers or did they just collapse?
We discuss all of this, plus we debate ice cream flavors, George Karl vs. DeMarcus Cousins or Meek Mill vs. Drake, and much more.
