FULL FIRST-ROUND SCHEDULE, RESULTS | EXPERT BRACKETS

Kevin Durant is so good, he's worth of "legendary status." He's a multiple-time scoring champion, former MVP, and player who has been in the Western Conference Finals three times and the Finals once. He's a great player. Unfortunately, on Monday night he made history for a pretty embarrassing reason.

In the Oklahoma City Thunder's loss to the Dallas Mavericks Monday, Durant shot 7-of-33 from the field. He missed 26 field goals, which tied Michael Jordan for the most misses in a postseason game in NBA history.

Durant's shot chart is something out of one of the "Saw" films.

After the game, Durant was pretty calm about it. There's not much else to do. It's not like there's some serious flaw in his game. He's unlikely to shoot that poorly ever again in his career. Not this year, or this series. But ever.

“Bad shooting night for me,” Durant said. “That's part of it. Wished it hadn't happened tonight. No excuse. I just gotta make ‘em next time.”

And still, the Thunder had a chance to win, when Durant missed a layup and Steven Adams' rebound tip-in attempt was waved off after the buzzer. There's no reason for OKC to panic. But Monday night represented if nothing else a statisistical lowpoint for Durant as a scorer in his career.
