Report: Pelicans set to receive exception for Ryan Anderson

The Pelicans are "poised" to receive a Disabled Player Exception for forward Ryan Anderson, ESPN.com reports.

If the team does receive the exception of around $4 million, they would have increased flexibility at the trade deadline. Anderson is scheduled to receive an evaluation in February after suffering a herniated disc on Jan. 3.
