Report: Warriors set to meet with Andre Iguodala and offer him a three-year deal
After Iguodala meets with Rockets, Spurs, the Warriors set up their own meeting with versatile forward
A few months back, Andre Iguodala's return to the Warriors this summer would have seemed a foregone conclusion, but in the past week or so, doubt started to grow whether the versatile forward would return to the Bay Area.
There were reports the Warriors' front office had concerns over the mounting luxury tax bill, and the two sides didn't even have a meeting set up during the initial free agency period, as Iguodala met with a number of other teams, including Western Conference rivals in the San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets.
But on Saturday, Marcus Thompson reported the Warriors are planning to meet with Iguodala and offer him a three-year deal. Via the Mercury News:
Warriors are planning to meet with free agent guard Andre Iguodala today in Los Angeles, according to a team source.
General manager Bob Myers will be armed with an offer in the range of $13 to $15 million a year. The deal will also include a third year, which is a big deal since the Warriors will have to sign Klay Thompson to an extension that year.
ESPN's Chris Haynes later confirmed that Iguodala was offered a three-year, $45M deal by the Warriors.

And added that Iguodala is deliberating between other offers from Houston, San Antonio, and Sacramento.

Though he doesn't get the same level of coverage or attention as the likes of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, or Kevin Durant, Iguodala is a vital part of this Warriors squad, evidenced by the fact he was named the 2015 Finals MVP.
Losing his versatility, especially on the defense of the ball, would be a huge blow to the Warriors.
