There are these shots that Stephen Curry takes that just seem nonsensical. That he hits them with such regularity is absurd. It's like a Dali painting where the rim is actually dripping sideways into a desert. These shots make zero sense.

In the Warriors' game against the Jazz on Tuesday, Curry, who overall had a rough game for three quarters, snagged an offensive rebound by lurking among the trees, tapped the ball back to himself, and in one fluid motion, turned around and launched from 3-point range.

This stuff is just not realistic. It's the uncanny valley of 3-pointers.

Curry's ability to make these shots has opened up his confidence in trying even more audacious shots, and getting that confidence is helping him make more of them. It's a fusion engine of crazy 3-pointers, and it's why he's about to be a two-time MVP and may have put together the finest offensive season in NBA history.
