Three games into his year defending his MVP award, Stephen Curry continues to absolutely amaze. The Golden State Warriors guard dropped 53 points on 27 shots in 36 minutes and hit 8-of-14 3-pointers in a blowout win over the Pelicans Saturday 134-120

This season Curry has 118 points on 68 shots in 99 minutes, which is just unfathomable efficiency. Curry hit 3's falling out of bounds, leaning back, stepping back, over Anthony Davis, vs. double teams, everything. Even his layups were spectacular.

It wasn't a career-high for Curry (remember his 54 at the Garden?), but his 28 third-quarter points definitely was a career-high for a quarter.

Here's what Curry said to TNT's Craig Sager after the game.

Curry was still in the game with the Warriors up double-digits inside two minutes, still launching trying to hit his career high. Good isn't good enough. Heck, great isn't great enough for Curry.

There's been debate about whether Curry is the best player in the NBA or not. So far this season, he's leaving no doubt. The Warriors are undefeated, untouchable, and Curry thus far cannot be stopped.
