Lakers forward Xavier Henry received clearance to participate in practice Wednesday, including running, making cuts and light shooting, the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Head coach Mike D'Antoni doesn't plan to have Henry available for games on Thursday and Friday, and Henry remains without a specific timetable for his return from a knee strain.

"It felt pretty good, but not 100 percent," Henry told the Daily News. "But it feels like I’m on a good track right now."

Henry is expected to serve as the team's backup point guard when he returns. He has averaged 10.1 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists over 31 games played.
