  • Nuggets' Cameron Johnson: Day-to-day with ankle sprain

Head coach David Aldeman said that Johnson is "day-to-day" due to his sprained right ankle, Vinny Benedetto of The Denver Gazette reports.

Johnson won't play Saturday against the Pelicans, but it sounds like the ankle sprain he's dealing with his relatively minor. For now, Johnson should be considered questionable for Monday's meeting with the Warriors.

  • Nuggets' Cameron Johnson: Won't play Saturday

Johnson (ankle) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against New Orleans.

Johnson exited Thursday's season-opening loss to the Thunder with a right ankle sprain and will now be held out of Saturday's contest. His next chance to play will come Monday against the Warriors. DeMar DeRozan, Trevon Brazile and Alpha Diallo (wrist), who is listed as questionable, are candidates for increased playing time in Johnson's stead.

  • Nuggets' Cameron Johnson: Fails to return Thursday

Johnson (ankle) didn't return to Thursday's game against Oklahoma City. He ended with five points (2-3 FG, 1-1 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist in 11 minutes.

Johnson was labeled questionable to return Thursday after suffering a right ankle sprain in the first half, but he failed to gain clearance to check back in. Alpha Diallo started the second half as a result and saw more opportunities in Johnson's absence. The 30-year-old can be considered questionable for Saturday's game against New Orleans until further notice.

  • Nuggets' Cameron Johnson: Suffers ankle sprain

Johnson is questionable to return to Thursday's game against the Thunder due to a right ankle sprain, Katy Winge of Altitude Sports reports.

Johnson picked up the injury at some point during the first half. DeMar DeRozan and Alpha Diallo could see more opportunities if Johnson is unable to return.

  • Nuggets' Cameron Johnson: Drains four treys in preseason win

Johnson delivered 15 points (5-7 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, two steals and an assist in 25 minutes during Sunday's preseason win over the Bulls.

The veteran forward was locked in from downtown as the Nuggets' starting five all played at least 23 minutes in preparation for Opening Night. Johnson has never suited up for more than 66 regular-season games in a campaign as injuries have plagued him since being the 11th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, but he's been a valuable secondary scorer when healthy, averaging at least 12.2 points and 2.0 threes and shooting 39.0 percent or better from beyond the arc in each of the last five seasons.

  • Nuggets' Cameron Johnson: Puts up 10 points in victory

Johnson tallied 10 points (4-7 FG, 2-3 3Pt), a rebound and an assist across 15 minutes during Tuesday's 117-106 win over the Jazz.

Johnson is firmly entrenched as a starter for the Nuggets at the start of the season, despite the addition of veteran DeMar DeRozan, who will compete for time at Johnson's position. Staying on the court has been a consistent problem for Johnson, who has averaged just 56.3 games per season over the past three campaigns, and the organization hopes he can exceed his career-high watermark of 57 games.

  • Nuggets' Cameron Johnson: Role solidified for 2026-27

Johnson looks to be solidified as a starter for Denver in 2026-27 after Peyton Watson was dealt to Cleveland.

Johnson's debut season with Denver may have been a disappointment, but he still started all 54 of his regular-season appearances. The 12.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, 0.7 steals and 2.0 three-pointers per game he averaged were his lowest since his days with the Suns, but Johnson did shoot a career-high 43.0 percent from deep last year and should continue to find plenty of open looks playing alongside Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray.

  • Nuggets' Cameron Johnson: Drops season-high 27 points in loss

Johnson notched 27 points (8-15 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 6-9 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and one block over 39 minutes during Thursday's 110-98 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 6 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

Johnson did everything he could to get Denver over the line, scoring a season-high 27 points, including five triples. While it ultimately wasn't enough, it does remind fantasy managers just what he can do on the basketball court. Strong performance aside, Johnson's season as a whole was serviceable, at best. In 60 appearances (including playoffs), he averaged 12.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.0 three-pointers in 30.6 minutes per contest.

  • Nuggets' Cameron Johnson: Steps up in Game 5 win

Johnson finished Monday's 125-113 win over Minnesota in Game 5 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs with 18 points (8-13 FG, 2-7 3Pt), six rebounds, five assists and three steals over 36 minutes.

Johnson bounced back after tepid single-digit scoring totals in Games 3 and 4 against Minnesota. The trade for Johnson has been a net negative for the Nuggets. Michael Porter's impressive totals this season with the Nets probably generate some buyer's remorse within the organization, but Monday's result was more in line with what was expected from Johnson. Denver has fallen behind in this series due to a lack of production from the supporting cast, and the balanced outcome from Johnson and Spencer Jones produced the desired result.

  • Nuggets' Cameron Johnson: Tamped down in defeat

Johnson logged nine points (3-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-4 FT), two rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 27 minutes during Saturday's 112-96 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

Johnson's production has slowed in the first round, averaging only 10.0 points, 1.5 assists, 1.3 rebounds, and 0.8 steals over four games against the Timberwolves. Although Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray are propping up the team with stellar production, the two superstars need more help from the supporting cast. Right now, Johnson isn't holding up his end of the bargain. The Nuggets will face elimination Monday night, and the pressure will be on Johnson, Christian Braun and Aaron Gordon to deliver better results.

  • Nuggets' Cameron Johnson: Only six points in Game 3 loss

Johnson produced six points (2-6 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one steal over 24 minutes during Thursday's 113-96 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 3 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

Johnson couldn't get anything going on the offensive end, although he was certainly not alone, as Denver was soundly beaten by Minnesota on the road. On the whole, it's been a mediocre season for Johnson, who is averaging just 12.1 points and 2.0 three-pointers in 57 total appearances.
