    Smith signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Cavaliers on Tuesday, Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com reports. Smith joined the Cavaliers last fall as well and went through camp before spending most of the campaign in the G League with the Cleveland Charge. He ultimately got called up and signed a 10-day deal in February but never saw any NBA game action. Smith could be in store for a similar situation in 2024-25.

    Smith signed a 10-day contract with the Cavaliers on Sunday. The Cavaliers will give Smith a look at the NBA level after he averaged 12.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists across 32 contests this season for their G League affiliate, the Cleveland Charge. Smith has shown growth as a spot-up shooting threat, knocking down 40.4 percent of his catch-and-shoot three-point attempts this season while also converting at an excellent 69.5 percent at the rim. The 16th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, Smith could get the opportunity to make his first NBA appearance since the 2019-20 season in the coming days.
