  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Steps up vs. Orlando

Buzelis produced 21 points (6-14 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 7-8 FT), nine rebounds, seven assists, two blocks and one steal in 30 minutes during Friday's 121-114 victory over the Magic. Buzelis was a strong contributor across the board Friday, leading his shorthanded squad in points, assists and blocks. He shouldered a larger workload without the services of Coby White (calf), Josh Giddey (hamstring) and Zach Collins (toe), posting arguably his best all-around performance of the 2025-26 season so far. Buzelis should continue to have opportunities to shine until Chicago can shake the injury bug.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Solid with 19 points in win

Buzelis produced 19 points (8-17 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 1-4 FT), six rebounds, two assists and one steal over 27 minutes during Wednesday's 134-118 win over the Pelicans. Although Buzelis had some struggles with his shooting stroke, he logged enough shot volume to offset the deficiency. Most of his misses came beyond the arc, where he connected only twice over nine attempts. Buzelis would do well to tone down the long-range shot, as he's converting at a 34.8 percent clip from downtown. The 21-year-old is on pace to surpass his rookie numbers, averaging 14.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists over 33 games.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Does not return Tuesday

Buzelis sustained an apparent leg injury in the fourth quarter of Tuesday's 126-123 win over the Hawks, per Lauren L. Williams of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and did not return. Buzelis stepped on an opposing player's foot and limped to the locker room with 6:42 remaining in the final quarter. He returned to the bench shortly thereafter but never checked back in, finishing with 15 points (6-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds and two blocks across 18 minutes. His status will be worth monitoring ahead of Friday's game against Philadelphia.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Heads to locker room Tuesday

Buzelis exited to the locker room during Tuesday's game against the Hawks due to an apparent leg injury, Lauren L. Williams of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Buzelis left the game limping and went straight to the locker room after appearing to step on Asa Newell's foot. However, Buzelis returned to the bench shortly thereafter. If he doesn't get back into the game, Kevin Huerter and Patrick Williams are candidates to see more minutes.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Scores season-high 28 points in win

Buzelis closed with 28 points (10-11 FG, 7-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, two blocks and one steal in 29 minutes during Sunday's 152-150 win over the Hawks. Not only did Buzelis notch a season best in points, but he also set a new career high in made triples with seven and finished with an impeccable true shooting percentage of 117.8. Buzelis has now scored 20 points in back-to-back games for the first time in his career, and he'll look to extend the 20-point scoring streak to three in Tuesday's rematch with Atlanta.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Breaks out with 24 points

Buzelis closed Friday's 136-125 win over the Cavaliers with 24 points (9-15 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 4-6 FT), five rebounds, one assist, two blocks and two steals in 33 minutes. It was the second-year forward's best scoring performance since Oct. 29, when he dropped a season-high 27 points on the Spurs. Buzelis has managed just 18 points combined in his prior two games and had gone six straight without reaching 20, averaging just 12.8 points, 4.5 boards, 1.8 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.8 blocks during that rough patch.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Dry spell continues

Buzelis amassed nine points (3-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), one rebound, one assist and one block over 22 minutes during Wednesday's 127-111 win over Cleveland. Buzelis continues to play limited minutes despite starting, resulting in muted production over the past week. In three games during that time, he has averaged just 9.3 points and 1.0 blocks in 23.2 minutes per contest. As per usual, it appears the Bulls will once again strive for mediocrity by securing a play-in spot. Buzelis is someone fantasy managers will want to try and hold, although moving on from him might help you avoid more disappointing lines.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Scores 16 points with four stocks

Buzelis provided 16 points (7-12 FG, 2-5 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist, one block and three steals across 25 minutes during Sunday's 123-91 loss to the Warriors. Buzelis passed 1,000 career points in this one and finished as Chicago's second leading scorer, but the end result was yet another loss for the Bulls. This team has now lost seven straight games, but they'll have an excellent chance of turning things around Friday with a matchup against the 7-17 Hornets.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Double-doubles in loss

Buzelis closed Friday's 120-105 loss to the Pacers with 19 points (5-8 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 9-9 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 35 minutes. Buzelis got off to a hot start in this one, scoring 10 of Chicago's first 19 points, and he was all over the place on defense. This was the third double-double of Buzelis' career and his second this season. However, it wasn't all roses, as Buzelis also finished with a season-high six turnovers as the Bulls lost their sixth straight game.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Another quiet outing

Buzelis supplied 10 points (4-8 FG, 2-5 3Pt), four rebounds and two blocks in 21 minutes during Monday's 143-130 loss to the Pelicans. Buzelis was benched to start the second half with the Bulls rolling with Jalen Smith -- Patrick Williams was already starting in Nikola Vucevic's (knee) place. After a red-hot start to the campaign, Buzelis is suddenly stuck in a slump. Over his last five outings, the second-year forward has averaged 10.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 2.2 blocks in 23.4 minutes per contest.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Available Saturday

Buzelis (ankle) is available for Saturday's game against the Wizards, Julia Poe of the Chicago Tribune reports. Buzelis suffered a right ankle injury in Friday's loss to the Heat, but the second-year forward will play in the second leg of this back-to-back set. Buzelis is averaging 14.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game this season.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Questionable to play Saturday

Buzelis (ankle) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Wizards. A right ankle injury forced Buzelis out of Friday's 143-107 loss to the Heat, and he finished that contest with six points, five rebounds, one assist and two blocks over 19 minutes. He faces an uphill battle to play in the second leg of the Bulls' back-to-back set Saturday, and if he is indeed ruled out, then Patrick Williams (wrist) would be a candidate to enter Chicago's starting lineup.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Ruled out rest of game

Buzelis has been ruled out for the remainder of Friday's game against Miami due to a right ankle injury, Julia Poe of the Chicago Tribune reports. Buzelis tweaked his ankle earlier in the contest, and while he did return to the court, he's been shut down for the final few minutes of what's become a blowout loss. Buzelis will finish the game with six points (2-8 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FFT), five rebounds, one assist and two blocks across 19 minutes. Chicago faces Washington on Saturday, and Buzelis can be considered doubtful for that contest until the Bulls release their injury report.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Returns to game

Buzelis (anle) has checked back into Friday's game against the Heat, Julia Poe of the Chicago Tribune reports. Buzelis rolled his ankle earlier in the contest, an issue that warranted a trip to the locker room. He's since returned from the locker room and is back on the hardwood.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Rolls ankle

Buzelis went back to the locker room during Friday's game against Miami after an apparent ankle injury, Joel Lorenzi of The Athletic reports. Buzelis was helped toward the locker room, but after reaching the tunnel, he was able to walk without assistance. The forward appeared to roll his ankle and looked to be in significant pain. While he's out, Patrick Williams and Julian Phillips could see an uptick in playing time.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Puts up 18 points Sunday

Buzelis recorded 18 points (7-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-3 FT), six rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal across 33 minutes before fouling out of Sunday's 150-147 double-overtime loss to the Jazz. Buzelis was unable to repeat the double-double he posted in the loss to the Pistons on Friday, but he recorded a third straight game with at least 15 points. The second-year forward continues to emerge as a reliable scoring weapon for Chicago, but some regression could be expected once Coby White, who made his season debut Sunday, returns to the starting lineup and handles his regular workload. Buzelis is averaging 14.6 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game in seven outings since the beginning of November.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Comes close to double-double

Buzelis chipped in 20 points (8-13 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals across 36 minutes during Friday's 126-110 loss to the Bucks. Buzelis reached the 20-point mark for the third time this season, and the second-year forward continues to show he can be one of the Bulls' go-to options on offense regularly. Buzelis has scored in double digits in six straight games, averaging 16.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.2 steals per game over that stretch.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Swats two shots in win

Buzelis ended with 10 points (4-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt), five rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal over 30 minutes during Tuesday's 113-111 win over Philadelphia. Buzelis has scored 10-plus points in five straight contests, averaging 16.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.0 steals, 0.8 blocks and 2.8 threes made in that span, shooting 46.9 percent from the field and 50 percent from three. He will look to continue his offensive momentum rolling Friday against the Bucks.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Lights up for 27 points

Buzelis logged 27 points (11-18 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals in 34 minutes during Wednesday's 126-113 victory over the Kings. Buzelis finished with the third-highest scoring total of his career in Chicago's fourth straight win. He was dialed in from beyond the arc, easily marking his best shooting performance of the young season. The second-year lottery pick showed why he could be poised for a breakout year.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Puts up 21 points in win

Buzelis notched 21 points (7-12 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 7-7 FT), six rebounds, one assist and three blocks across 34 minutes during Wednesday's 115-111 victory over Detroit. Buzelis was in hot demand during fantasy drafts, and he certainly lived up to the hype on Opening Night. His starting role was never in doubt heading into the season, with Patrick Williams comfortably behind him, and as was the case in the preseason, a lot of the offense ran through the second-year forward. Buzelis appears poised for a potential breakout season as a source of points, three-pointers, rebounds and blocks.
