Ryan Anderson: Waived by Rockets
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Anderson was waived by the Rockets on Monday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

The veteran forward, who was a healthy scratch in each of the past seven games, will be seeking a new home. Anderson's struggled with his shot over the past two seasons and is hitting fewer than 30 percent of his three pointers for the second straight season and is averaging just 2.5 points and 3.5 rebounds in 7.0 minutes per game this year. Anderson could appeal to teams in need of three-point shooting and veteran leadership, though his recent performance hasn't inspired much confidence.

Rockets' Ryan Anderson: Sees action in season debut
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Anderson ended with three points and one rebound in four minutes during Wednesday's 159-158 victory over the Wizards.

Anderson saw his first action of the season, albeit just four minutes during Wednesday's high-scoring victory over Washington. Anderson is unlikely to be an every night part of the rotation for the Rockets and can be left on all waiver wires.

Rockets' Ryan Anderson: Joins Rockets
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Anderson has agreed to a partially-guaranteed contract with the Rockets, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Anderson played 25 contests last season between the Heat and the Suns, seeing just 12.9 minutes per game. He played for the Rockets during the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons, averaging 11.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.4 threes across 27.8 minutes. It's not immediately clear what sort of guarantees are on Anderson's contract, but it doesn't seem likely that he'll see a significant role with Houston, assuming he's on the final roster.

Ryan Anderson: Waived by Heat
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Anderson was waived by the Heat on Saturday.

Anderson appeared in just 10 games with the Heat after being dealt to Miami last season. The organization will save some money by waiving Anderson, as he reduced his guarantee for 2019-20 from $21 million to $15.6 million last August.

Heat's Ryan Anderson: Gets garbage-time burn
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Anderson (personal) played one minute Tuesday in the Heat's 122-99 win over the 76ers, accruing no statistics during his time on the floor.

Anderson had missed the Heat's previous two games to tend to a personal matter but rejoined the team for its penultimate game of the regular season. As per usual, he remained outside of coach Erik Spoelstra's rotation and only saw action in garbage time. With the Heat eliminated from the postseason race, Anderson could fall into more minutes Wednesday against the Nets, but probably not enough to make him interesting for DFS or streaming purposes.

Heat's Ryan Anderson: Out next two games
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Anderson, due to personal reasons, will be out over the Heat's next two games.

Anderson hasn't been a regular part of the rotation, so his absence shouldn't affect things much. It's possible he's played his last game of the season already.

Heat's Ryan Anderson: Enters the rotation in blowout loss
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Anderson recorded one assist and one steal in five minutes during Friday's 116-87 loss to the Bucks.

This was Anderson's first time on the court in five games and came simply as a result of garbage time. Anderson is merely a bench warmer for the Heat and does not figure as a part of their future. He can be ignored everywhere.

Heat's Ryan Anderson: Plays two minutes Monday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Anderson tallied just one assist in two minutes during Monday's 103-87 loss to the Nuggets.

Anderson played two minutes Monday, his first court time as a member of the Heat. He is basically out of the rotation and can be ignored in all formats.

Heat's Ryan Anderson: Doesn't see floor in debut
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Anderson (coach's decision) failed to see the court Friday in the Heat's 102-96 loss to the Kings.

The Suns shipped Anderson to the Heat on Wednesday in what amounted to a salary dump, as the power forward hadn't seen any game action in Phoenix since Dec. 4. For a Heat squad that fancies itself as playoff contenders, Anderson should have a better path to playing, but he's still not a lock to be included in the rotation over Kelly Olynyk or James Johnson. After Anderson's extensive time off, the team will presumably want to see more from him in practices before coach Erik Spoelstra summons him from the bench in close games.

Heat's Ryan Anderson: Traded to Heat
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Anderson has been traded to the Heat in exchange for Tyler Johnson and Wayne Ellington, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

In what is essentially a bad contract swap, the Heat will take on Ryan Anderson, who is set to make $15.6 million next season. Anderson has appeared in just 15 games this season after starting 50 games for the Rockets last season, seeing his role reduced to DNP-CDs. It seems unlikely the change of scenery will vault Anderson, who hasn't seen action since Dec. 4, into fantasy relevance.

Suns' Ryan Anderson: Still outside rotation
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Anderson (coach's decision) didn't see the floor Thursday in the Suns' 111-109 loss to the Raptors.

It's hardly shocking that Anderson was excluded from the rotation in a close contest, as that's been standard since early November. Anderson has seen action in only four of the Suns' past 35 games and will need a trade to recoup any kind of fantasy value. With a season and a half still remaining on Anderson's four-year, $80 million contract, he probably won't have a robust market as the Feb. 7 trade deadline approaches.

Suns' Ryan Anderson: Inactive Sunday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Anderson won't be available Sunday against the Bulls, Gina Mizell of The Athletic reports.

Anderson hasn't played since Dec. 4 against Sacramento, so it's no surprise that he's listed as inactive.

Suns' Ryan Anderson: Reverts to bench role
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Anderson will come off the bench Thursday against Boston, Gina Mizell of The Athletic reports.

Anderson stepped into a starting role temporarily while T.J. Warren was out with a back injury, but Anderson will move back to the bench at least for the time being. Warren figures to remain the starter after returning to health, although Anderson certainly has a shot to push Warren for minutes if he can up his play.

Suns' Ryan Anderson: Offers little impact in second straight start
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Anderson was held scoreless (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and recorded two rebounds and two assists across 22 minutes Tuesday in the Suns' 104-82 loss to the Nets.

Though T.J. Warren (back) returned from a one-game absence, coach Igor Kokoskov deployed him off the bench, likely as a means to manage his minutes coming off injury. That paved the way for Anderson to make a second straight start at power forward, but the veteran did next to nothing while playing about half of the contest. That's essentially been par for the course for Anderson throughout the season, as he's reached double figures in the scoring column just once in 10 games and is shooting 33.3 percent from the floor and 24.1 percent from three-point range. Expect Anderson to head back to the second unit once the Suns are fully comfortable with Warren's health, which could come as soon as the team's next game Thursday against the Celtics.

Suns' Ryan Anderson: Ordinary performance Sunday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Anderson tallied five points (2-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt) and five rebounds in 27 minutes during Sunday's 102-100 victory over Memphis.

Anderson was back in the starting lineup with T.J. Warren (back) sitting out, but was unable to take advantage of the situation. I think we just need to accept that Anderson is no longer a good fantasy player given his skillset is now the norm as opposed to unique. He has no value except possibly in the deepest of formats.

Suns' Ryan Anderson: Back in starting lineup
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Anderson will start at power forward in Sunday's game against the Grizzlies, Gina Mizell of The Athletic reports.

With T.J. Warren (back) ruled out for Sunday's game, Anderson will be reinserted back into the starting lineup. Anderson was still playing a fairly prominent role in the rotation when he was came off the bench, so he should see around 20-to-25 minutes in Sunday's game.

Suns' Ryan Anderson: Will come off bench Wednesday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Anderson will come off the bench Wednesday against the Spurs, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports.

TJ Warren will take Anderson's place in the starting five, in what is likely a move to add more scoring to the first unit. Anderson, a career 38.1-percent three-point shooter, has struggled shooting the ball this season, currently shooting just 22.7 percent from three. If he continues to struggle shooting the ball, Warren could continue to remain in the starting unit.

Suns' Ryan Anderson: Starting Saturday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Anderson (hip) will play and start Saturday's game against the Grizzlies, Clay Bailey of the Daily Memphian reports.

Anderson had been feeling some pain from a strained right hip, but was able to get shots up and shootaround and will ultimately play Saturday. He's averaging 5.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists across 21.5 minutes.

Suns' Ryan Anderson: Upgraded to probable
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Anderson (hip) has been upgraded to probable for Saturday's game against Memphis.

Anderson was able to get shots up at shootaround Saturday morning, which, of course, is an encouraging sign. Still, the Suns won't make a final call on his status until he can be reevaluated closer to the 8:00 PM ET tip.

October 26, 2018 06:08 PM
Suns' Ryan Anderson: Questionable for Saturday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Anderson is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Grizzlies due to a right hip flexor strain, Gina Mizell of The Athletic reports.

Anderson is yet to miss any time this season, so it's unclear exactly when the stretch four picked up the injury. Anderson's status should become more clear following the Suns' shootaround Saturday morning, but if he is unable to play, Phoenix may go with a smaller starting lineup using T.J. Warren or Josh Jackson, or the team may have to thrust Dragan Bender into the rotation.
