Suns' Ryan Anderson: Reverts to bench role
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Anderson will come off the bench Thursday against Boston, Gina Mizell of The Athletic reports.

Anderson stepped into a starting role temporarily while T.J. Warren was out with a back injury, but Anderson will move back to the bench at least for the time being. Warren figures to remain the starter after returning to health, although Anderson certainly has a shot to push Warren for minutes if he can up his play.

Suns' Ryan Anderson: Offers little impact in second straight start
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Anderson was held scoreless (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and recorded two rebounds and two assists across 22 minutes Tuesday in the Suns' 104-82 loss to the Nets.

Though T.J. Warren (back) returned from a one-game absence, coach Igor Kokoskov deployed him off the bench, likely as a means to manage his minutes coming off injury. That paved the way for Anderson to make a second straight start at power forward, but the veteran did next to nothing while playing about half of the contest. That's essentially been par for the course for Anderson throughout the season, as he's reached double figures in the scoring column just once in 10 games and is shooting 33.3 percent from the floor and 24.1 percent from three-point range. Expect Anderson to head back to the second unit once the Suns are fully comfortable with Warren's health, which could come as soon as the team's next game Thursday against the Celtics.

Suns' Ryan Anderson: Ordinary performance Sunday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Anderson tallied five points (2-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt) and five rebounds in 27 minutes during Sunday's 102-100 victory over Memphis.

Anderson was back in the starting lineup with T.J. Warren (back) sitting out, but was unable to take advantage of the situation. I think we just need to accept that Anderson is no longer a good fantasy player given his skillset is now the norm as opposed to unique. He has no value except possibly in the deepest of formats.

Suns' Ryan Anderson: Back in starting lineup
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Anderson will start at power forward in Sunday's game against the Grizzlies, Gina Mizell of The Athletic reports.

With T.J. Warren (back) ruled out for Sunday's game, Anderson will be reinserted back into the starting lineup. Anderson was still playing a fairly prominent role in the rotation when he was came off the bench, so he should see around 20-to-25 minutes in Sunday's game.

Suns' Ryan Anderson: Will come off bench Wednesday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Anderson will come off the bench Wednesday against the Spurs, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports.

TJ Warren will take Anderson's place in the starting five, in what is likely a move to add more scoring to the first unit. Anderson, a career 38.1-percent three-point shooter, has struggled shooting the ball this season, currently shooting just 22.7 percent from three. If he continues to struggle shooting the ball, Warren could continue to remain in the starting unit.
