Thunder's Raymond Felton: Scores 13 points in Saturday's loss
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Felton finished with 13 points (6-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt) and one assist in 22 minutes during Saturday's 116-102 loss to the Spurs.

Felton saw fairly significant minutes since Dennis Schroder stepped into a starting role with Paul George (shoulder) sidelined. With that being said, Felton has reached double figures in scoring just four times across 21 appearances this season, and the 34-year-old point guard is no longer a viable option in fantasy.

Thunder's Raymond Felton: Scores 15 points Monday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Felton produced 15 points (6-10 FG, 3-5 3Pt), two steals, one rebound, and one assist in 21 minutes during Monday's 120-111 victory over the Trail Blazers.

With Alex Abrines recently getting released and Dennis Schroder (personal) sitting out Monday, the Thunder dusted off Felton and inserted him back into the rotation. Despite having logged no game action since Dec. 30, Felton displayed little rust while providing some useful scoring off the bench. It's possible that Felton could use this outing as a springboard to stick in the rotation moving forward, but his playing time will almost certainly decline once Schroder is back in action.

Thunder's Raymond Felton: Non-factor in rotation
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Felton (coach's decision) failed to leave the bench Monday in the Thunder's 127-109 win over the Knicks.

Oklahoma City was in control of the contest from the opening tip, but the blowout nature for the game didn't result in any run for Felton. That's been standard for about two months now, as Felton hasn't played since Dec. 30 and has seen action just twice in the Thunder's last 24 games. As the Feb. 7 trade deadline and subsequent buyout period nears, Felton might be a candidate to lose his spot on the roster if the Thunder determine better backcourt depth options are available on the market.

Thunder's Raymond Felton: Suspended one game
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Felton will be suspended for Wednesday's game against the Kings following his participation in the on-court scuffle in Monday's game against the Bulls, Marc Stein of The New York Times reports.

Raymond Felton, along with teammate Dennis Schroder, left the bench after a fight broke out in Monday's contest, and the violation of league rules results in a one-game suspension for each. With that, the Thunder will be without each of their true backup point guards for Wednesday's outing, which will likely result in Deonte Burton or Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot seeing extra minutes in the backcourt.

Thunder's Raymond Felton: Double-digit scoring total off bench
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Felton generated 12 points (5-12 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, three assists and one block across 18 minutes in the Thunder's 108-92 loss to the Clippers on Friday.

The veteran paced the second unit in scoring and provided some much-needed offensive production on a night when Paul George and Dennis Schroder combined to go an atrocious 9-for-42 from the field. Felton's positional versatility figures to provide him a modest but consistent allotment of minutes in the upper teens on average this season, following a 2017-18 campaign when he appeared all 82 games and averaged 6.9 points, 2.5 assists and 1.9 rebounds across 16.6 minutes.

Thunder's Raymond Felton: Scores six points in Sunday's win
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Felton finished with six points (2-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three assists, one rebound, one steal, and one block in 15 minutes during Sunday's 113-94 win over the Hawks.

Felton hasn't exactly been efficient through three preseason games, scoring 26 points on 28 field-goal attempts. However, he has dished out 10 assists to just four turnovers. Felton will fill in as the backup point guard until Russell Westbrook (knee) returns, at which point the former Tar Heel will fall to third on the depth chart behind Dennis Schroder.

Thunder's Raymond Felton: Will re-sign with Oklahoma City
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Felton agreed Tuesday to re-sign with the Thunder on a one-year contract, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

The reliable point guard played more than 80 games for the third straight year, however the 2017-18 campaign was his first in Oklahoma City. Felton ended the season with averages of 6.9 points, 2.5 assists, 1.9 rebounds and 1.0 three-pointer across 16.6 minutes, while shooting 35.2 percent from three-point land. His solid bench production earns him a one-year extension with the Thunder, though with Russell Westbrook back, Felton will be stuck with backup duties and should have nearly an identical role to last season. As a result, Felton should remain well off the fantasy radar in the bulk of leagues.

Thunder's Raymond Felton: Productive off bench in Game 3 defeat
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Felton produced 14 points (5-10 FG, 4-5 3Pt), two assists, one rebound, one steal and one block across 21 minutes during Oklahoma City's 115-102 loss to the Jazz in Game 3 of their Western Conference first-round playoff series.

The veteran point guard saw his highest allotment of minutes over the first three games of the series and parlayed the opportunity into his best effort during that span. Felton was particularly sharp from distance, and he's now upped his scoring totals in each contest against the Jazz. Despite the encouraging effort, it will be difficult to project Felton's playing time from game to game given how tight playoff rotations tend to be.

Thunder's Raymond Felton: Contributes 11 points in Sunday's loss
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Felton pitched in 11 points (5-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt), one assist and two steals across 18 minutes in Sunday's 108-105 loss to the Trail Blazers.

Felton posted his second consecutive double-digit scoring effort after not having accomplished the feat in his first 10 games of March. The 13-year veteran typically sees minutes in the teens, but his production remains hard to trust unless he sees a spot start due to injury in front of him.

Thunder's Raymond Felton: Scores 13 points in 13 minutes
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Felton accounted for 13 points (5-7 FG, 3-3 3Pt), four assists and one steal in 13 minutes Monday in Oklahoma City's win over Orlando.

Felton led the Thunder bench with 13 points and he even outscored Russell Westbrook to the surprise of, well, everybody. The bench as a whole produced 48 points on a night where they were sorely needed. Felton isn't a player that should be on your immediate radar, but he has proven his value to the Thunder and might be due for a larger role as the season winds down.

Thunder's Raymond Felton: Scores 12 points in Wednesday's win
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Felton finished with 12 points (3-7 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four assists, three steals, and one rebound in 23 minutes during Wednesday's 121-114 win over the Grizzlies.

Felton filled up the stat sheet while playing more minutes than anyone besides the core four of Russell Westbrook, Paul George, Carmelo Anthony, and Steven Adams. Alex Abrines left the game with a hip contusion, but he'll have a week to rest and recover for next Thursday's matchup with the Kings. Regardless, Felton is firmly entrenched as the team's primary playmaker when Westbrook is on the bench (and a secondary playmaker when both of them are in the game).

Thunder's Raymond Felton: Returns to bench Tuesday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Felton will return to the bench Tuesday against the Cavaliers with Russell Westbrook returning to the starting lineup, Cavaliers play-by-play announcer John Michael reports.

Felton returns to his regular role off the bench after starting the past two contests while Westbrook nursed an ankle injury. The veteran played admirably in his two starts, recording 14 points, eight assists and six rebounds against the Grizzlies on Sunday. Back on the bench, expect his minutes to take a dip given his 17.2 minutes per game average this season.

Thunder's Raymond Felton: Fills out stat sheet in Sunday's start
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Felton went for 14 points (3-12 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 6-6 FT), eight assists and six rebounds across 34 minutes in Sunday's 110-92 win over the Grizzlies.

The veteran drew another start for Russell Westbrook (ankle) and produced a significantly better line than in last Thursday's defeat at the hands of the Lakers. Felton's shot was actually considerably off, but he significantly propped up his final line with a perfect showing from the charity stripe and strong efforts on the boards and as a facilitator. The productive night was naturally a welcome sight, but Felton will slide right back into a role that only affords him minutes in the teens as soon as Westbrook returns.

Thunder's Raymond Felton: Modest in spot start
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Felton posted seven points (3-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt), five rebounds, three assists and two steals across 31 minutes in Thursday's 106-81 loss to the Lakers.

The veteran drew the start at point guard in place of Russell Westbrook (ankle), and modest as his scoring total was, it was the third highest on the starting five for the night. Felton's points were also the most he'd generated since Jan. 23, but he remains in a multi-game shooting slump. Factoring in Thursday's contest, Felton has posted no better than a 37.5 percent success rate in seven straight games. He'll be back to a backup role that typically affords him minutes in the mid-teens as soon as Westbrook makes his return, which could come as soon as Sunday against the Grizzlies.

Thunder's Raymond Felton: Will start Thursday against Lakers
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Felton will get the start Thursday against the Lakers.

Felton replaces Russell Westbrook is the starting rotation after the reigning MVP was ruled out of the contest due to an ankle sprain. It's the veteran's first start of the season, as Felton enters the game averaging 6.7 points, 2.6 assists and 2.0 rebounds in just under 17 minutes per game on the year. With both Westbrook (ankle) and Carmelo Anthony (ankle) ruled out of the contest, there will be plenty of offensive opportunities left on the court Thursday night.

Thunder's Raymond Felton: Leads bench with 13 points
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Felton provided 13 points (4-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one steal across 18 minutes during a 117-106 loss to the Trail Blazers on Tuesday.

Felton's 13 points led the bench in the loss. He has been solid in the reserve role all season for the team, and over the last five games, he's averaging 8.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.2 three pointers made per game. Felton would likely only gain value if the team was dealing with a variety of injuries.

Thunder's Raymond Felton: Good to go Thursday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Felton (wrist) will play in Thursday's regular-season opener against the Knicks, Royce Young of ESPN reports.

Both Felton and Patrick Patterson (knee) have been given the green light to take the court, meaning the Thunder will open the season at full strength. Felton should jump right into the regular backcourt rotation, though the fact that he's backing up Russell Westbrook will likely hurt his chances of picking up significant minutes most nights.

Thunder's Raymond Felton: Participates in shootaround Thursday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Felton (wrist) went through morning shootaround, but remains questionable for Thursday's regular-season opener against the Knicks, Erik Horne of the Oklahoman reports.

Felton has been a full participant in practice the last few days as well, so at this point, it seems likely he'll take the court in Thursday's opener. Look for another update sometime closer to tip-off, but if cleared, Felton should operate as Russell Westbrook's backup at point guard.

Thunder's Raymond Felton: Questionable for Thursday's opener
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Felton (wrist) went through full contact during Wednesday's practice, but remains questionable for Thursday's regular-season opener against the Knicks, Brett Dawson of The Oklahoman reports.

Both Felton and Patrick Patterson (knee) have put together back-to-back full practices, so they appear to be inching towards being available for Thursday's contest. Felton should have his status updated again following the team's morning shootaround, which should give us a better indication if he'll ultimately be cleared.

Thunder's Raymond Felton: Takes contact in Tuesday's practice
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Felton (wrist) took part in the contact portions of Tuesday's practice, Erik Horne of The Oklahoman reports.

Felton has been nursing a left wrist sprain since Oct. 8. Taking part in contact during Tuesday's practice is an important step in his recovery and availability for the team's season opener Thursday against the Knicks. That said, he should still be considered questionable until further notice.
