With the 63rd pick in the first round, the Seattle Seahawks selected Michigan defensive end Frank Clark.

CBSSports.com senior writer Pete Prisco gave the Seahawks a B+ for the pick:

The Seahawks know how to find good football player. This kid has some character issues, but he can flat out play. Another gem for Seattle.

Frank Clark is a big, strong defensive end at 6-foot-3, 279 pounds. He's very talented and while he isn't a speed rusher like many of the top rush guys we've seen this year, he can help the Seahawks as a physical presence on the line.

Clark has a lot of red flags for two arrests, one for stealing a laptop and most recently and arrest for domestic violence that he plead down. The character issues pushed him this far down, but he has the talent to be an impact player for the very good Seattle defense.

For an on-field scouting report, we have this tidbit from Rob Rang and Dane Brugler:

"Powerful build with good body thickness - added 60+ pounds the last four seasons, working hard to develop his growth potential...quick first step upfield with sustained momentum to work off blocks and win the edge, taking sharp angles to the pocket...active, quick hands to work through blockers with excellent push-pull technique...sets up his moves and appears to have a rush strategy, making adjustments throughout the game.

Almost too muscle bound, restricting his movements at times...overaggressive and will over-run plays due to his high-effort style...inconsistent leverage off the edge and prefers to use his natural ability over fundamentals...needs to consistently load more ammo into his punch...suspect anticipation in space and can be late to react - late off the snap too often...needs to better break down on the move to control his momentum and finish."
