With the No. 14 pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select defensive end Derek Barnett from Tennessee.

"Love this pick. They might be getting the best pass rusher in this draft."

Instant analysis

Things are going well for those that wait, as the Eagles just picked up a highly prolific pass rusher with the 14th pick after a bunch of wideouts and quarterbacks came off the board early. Barnett gets dogged for not being athletic enough, which is a bizarre thing to be concerned about for a guy who has the pass-rushing chops that Barnett does. Ever heard of a guy named Reggie White? He was pretty good, and Barnett broke his Tennessee record for sacks in a career, finishing with 33 for his career. He's got a non-stop motor and outstanding hands. If he'd tested better, we'd have been talking about him going even higher.

Fantasy impact

"The Eagles get one of the better pass rushers in the NFL Draft with Derek Barnett, and he should make the Eagles DST that much more attractive. The Eagles DST was No. 5 in standard leagues last year and should be considered a No. 1 unit again this year. Plan on drafting the Eagles DST with a late-round pick in all leagues." -- Jamey Eisenberg
