When Brett Favre left the Packers, things weren't pretty between the long-time franchise quarterback and the fan base in Green Bay. Things were even uglier between Favre and his successor Aaron Rodgers.

Any issues between the two have been resolved. They appeared together at last year's NFL Honors show, Favre's taken his "share of the blame" in the divorce and expects Rodgers to "shatter" his records. Rodgers, for his part, is excited about Favre's induction this coming Saturday.

"He brought a lot great energy and enthusiasm to practice," Rodgers said in an upcoming NFL Network interview. "And to the locker room and that's kind of an under-appreciated part of leadership and being a quarterback I think."

Favre understands now how and why things went poorly but for as bad as they were, Rodgers is right: Favre's going to get a resounding reception from Packers fans.

"I feel like things have definitely warmed up over the few years," he said. "I hope he gets the reception he deserves. I'm sure he will."

Time heels all wounds. And even though it's only been a few years since Favre left, the memories he created with the Packers -- playing at a Hall of Fame level and bringing a Super Bowl to Green Bay -- have easily taken over all the nightmarish and ugly circumstances that surrounded his departure.
