Jenna and Skyler Edwards were experiencing one of the best moments of their lives. Their family was growing from three people to four, and things could not have been happier. But in an instant, their lives were changed forever.

On May 30, 2014, just one day after the Edwards family welcomed their second child into the world, tragedy struck. James Edwards, Jenna and Skyler's almost 2-year-old son, nearly drowned in the family pool.

Jenna and Skyler were still in the hospital welcoming their newest addition to the family, baby-boy Anthony, when they got the news. Ever since that life-altering day when their lives were turned upside down, James has been fighting. Thanks to the help of family, friends and even complete strangers, the Edwards have had a support system to lean on.

With all of the negative attention the NFL has drawn in recent months, it is great to see that there are still positive stories out there. Upon hearing the news of James' accident, both current and former Miami Dolphins players have visited James and the family in the hospital to show their support, including Ryan Tannehill, Brian Hartline, Brandon Fields, John Denney and former Dolphins great Jason Taylor.

James is now home with his family, fighting and rehabbing daily to get back to what he was before the accident. The family has created a Facebook page to keep family and friends updated and informed.

An Instagram auction was recently created as well to help raise funds for the family. For more information, go to http://instagram.com/turtlepowerauction
