Rookie tight ends Coby Fleener (Stanford) and Dwayne Allen (Clemson) signed with the team Wednesday, rounding out the Colts' crop of newcomers.

Fleener, the team's second-round pick, stands to replace the departed Dallas Clark. If nothing else, his experience gained from playing with incoming quarterback Andrew Luck in college will be in his favor.

Luck discusses the start of camp with Colts.com: “I wish I could have been out here more and gotten in all those other practices. I tried to stay somewhat on top of things as much as I could so I could come back in and not make a fool of myself in front of the vets and other rookies.  I don’t know if it went as smooth as I’d like.  I was just happy to get in as many practices as I could.”

The rookie QB will have his chance to impress rookies and veterans alike on Sunday, when practice begins.

Former Colt RB Joseph Addai was released by the Patriots, after he reportedly "quit" during his physical with the team. Addai spent six years with Indianapolis, his best season coming as a rookie, where he rushed for 1,081 yards and earned a Super Bowl ring.

Rookie DT Josh Chapman is expected to begin training camp on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list, head coach Chuck Pagano told the Indianapolis Star. Chapman has been battling a knee injury since his days at Alabama. Pagano also said that he expects others to be added to the PUP list in the coming days.
