The Jets signed unrestricted free-agent offensive tackle Corey Hilliard to a contract, the team announced on Tuesday.
Hilliard spent his previous eight seasons with the Colts and Lions. He's started 12 of the 47 games he's appeared in during his career. Hilliard was a sixth-round pick by the Patriots in the 2007 NFL draft.
Hilliard's 2014 season came to an abrupt end after sustaining a Lisfranc sprain to his foot in Detroit's Monday night opener.
