Former Chiefs and Dolphins running back Larry Johnson was reportedly arrested early Tuesday morning near Miami Beach and charged with aggravated assult.

On Wednesday the former NFL star released a statement claiming he has "committed no crime whatsoever."

"The charge for which I was arrested is false. The stories that have been reported in the media about the events leading to my arrest fail to accurately portray what really happened," Johnson said. "At the end of the day, when the truth comes out, the allegations that have been made against me will be shown to be completely untrue and confirm that I have committed no crime whatsoever."

Johnson reportedly punched another patron in the face and threatened him with a broken bottle.

Johnson then allegedly/reportedly punched the patron in the face several more times.
