For the Detroit Lions, their third preseason game against the Raiders on Saturday will be a dress rehearsal for the regular season with the starters getting extended reps.
For RB Mikel Leshoure, the game means much more. After 20 months away from game action, Leshoure will make his NFL debut against the Raiders. Leshoure participated in pregame warmups without incident and appeared to move without hesitation during drills. It’s unclear how much time he’ll see, but the fact he’s able to participate is a positive sign.
Other Lions pregame notes:
RB, Stefan Logan (ankle), S Louis Delmas (knee), OL Bill Nagy and T Jonathan Scott (knee) will not dress.
DE Kyle Vanden Bosch (knee) took part in pregame warmups but didn't have a helmet when he returned to the field before kickoff. Vanden Bosch has taken part in one practice since injuring his knee during the second week of camp.
DTs Sammie Hill (back) and Ryan Broyles (ACL) took part in pregame drills and are expected to play.
