The NFL announced two schedule changes for Week 17, the main one involves a matchup the Dallas Cowboys have to have in their quest for the top seed in the NFC.

The league announced Thursday The Cowboys' Week 17 showdown with the Arizona Cardinals will be flexed from 1 p.m. to 4:25 p.m. ET as the game will air on Fox in the national window on Sunday, January 2. Another change to the league's schedule involves the Las Vegas Raiders matchup against the Indianapolis Colts, which will stay at 1 p.m. ET -- but moves from CBS to Fox.

Dallas (9-4) is currently the No. 4 seed in the NFC, sitting one game out of the best record in the conference. Arizona (10-3) is the No. 3 seed in the NFC, losing the tiebreaker to the Green Bay Packers (No. 1 seed) and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (No. 2 seed). Green Bay is the top seed based on having the best win percentage in conference games while Tampa Bay is the No. 2 seed based on having the strength of victory tiebreaker over Arizona.

Both Dallas and Arizona will need a victory in Week 17 in order to have an opportunity for home-field advantage in the conference.
