Nick Fairley day-to-day with shoulder injury

Lions defensive tackle Nick Fairley, who missed the Week 2 loss to the Cardinals, is day-to-day with a shoulder injury, coach Jim Schwartz told ESPN.com. Fairley appears to have a good chance of playing Sunday at Washington. 

Fairley had five tackles and 1 1/2 sacks in the opener.
