Panthers: Cam Newton in fair condition after pickup truck crash
Panthers quarterback Cam Newton has been hospitalized following a pickup truck crash.
Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was involved in a car accident on Tuesday afternoon, and the team has announced that he's in fair condition at Carolinas Medical Center. He will remain at the hospital overnight for observation.
Meanwhile, Charlotte police are investigating the accident.

Not much is known about how the accident happened, but according to photos posted on Twitter, Newton was on a stretcher and placed in an ambulance.

In a statement, the Panthers said, "We are closely monitoring the situation of a car wreck involving Cam Newton. We will have more information at an appropriate time."
