WR Jabar Gaffney pulled up with a right quad injury during Wednesday's practice and did not return.

Gaffney took his pads off and iced his leg.

Gaffney put up at least 65 catches the previous two seasons with the Broncos and Redskins. He returned to the Patriots, where he was a favorite teammate of Tom Brady's from 2006-08, after a three-year absence with a two-year deal that included a $250,000 signing bonus.
