The Buffalo Bills have new ownership. Terry and Kim Pegula, who recently purchased the Buffalo franchise from the Wilson family, were unanimously approved at the owners meetings in New York Wednesday.

Pegula, the owner of the Buffalo Sabres, was the clear front-runner to land the team during the bidding process.

As CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora wrote, the Wilson family simply felt most comfortable with Pegula when proceeding with the sale of the franchise.

The rest of the owners clearly felt the same way.

Bills fans are thrilled about the change in ownership -- or at least the purchase by a group dead set on keeping the team in Buffalo -- and got #PegulaDay trending on Twitter.
