The Redskins cut 13 players, traded another and put OT Jammal Brown on the reserve/physically unable to perform list to get down to the NFL's mandatory roster size of 75 players Monday.

Notable cuts: PK Neil Rackers (13th year, Illinois) -- Rackers lost the battle to incumbent Graham Gano. Rackers made one of two field goals in the preseason. Gano didn't attempt a field goal in the first three preseason games but matched Rackers’ success in practice and is 11 years younger.

Complete cut list

PK Neil Rackers (13th year, Illinois); QB Jonathan Crompton (first year, Tennessee), OT Chris Campbell (first year, Eastern Illinois); RB Antwon Bailey (undrafted, rookie, Syracuse), RB Lennon Creer (undrafted, rookie, Louisiana Tech); WR Sam Kirkland (undrafted, rookie, Kent State); WR Lance Lewis (undrafted, rookie, East Carolina); LB Monte Lewis (undrafted, rookie, Jacksonville State); G Nick Martinez (undrafted, rookie, Oklahoma State); CB Morgan Trent (fourth year, Michigan); TE Beau Reliford (undrafted, rookie, Florida State); OL James Lee (fifth year, South Carolina State); OL Tony Moll (sixth year, Nevada).

Other moves: CB Kevin Barnes (fourth year, Maryland) -- Barnes, the Redskins' No. 3 corner in 2011, was traded to Detroit for a conditional draft pick. He was going to be released if not traded. The Redskins like rookie CB Richard Crawford and also have second-year Brandyn Thompson and David Jones battling for a spot. Barnes was a third-round pick in 2009.
