Ryan Fitzpatrick sets Jets record for most TD passes in a single season
Ryan Fitzpatrick broke Vinny Testaverde's 1998 record by throwing his 30th touchdown pass of the season.

The Jets' franchise record for the most touchdown passes in a single season belongs to Ryan Fitzpatrick. On Sunday, Fitzpatrick threw his 30th touchdown of the season, breaking Vinny Testaverde's record, which he set back in 1998.
His record-breaking touchdown went to Brandon Marshall, which is Marshall's 14th of the season. That's tied for the most in franchise history, by the way.

For Fitzpatrick, this puts the cap on a strangely successful regular season. He entered the summer as the backup. He only earned the starting job because Geno Smith got sucker punched in the locker room. Now? He's atop the Jets' record books. Fittingly, Fitzpatrick broke that record in Buffalo, the location of one of his many former teams.
And, he still has a chance to bring down Joe Namath's single-season record for the most passing yards in a Jets' season. Namath set the record with 4,007 yards in 1967. Fitzpatrick entered Sunday's game needing 284 yards to pass him.
But he's only thrown for 65 yards at halftime. Furthermore, with a playoff spot on the line, the Jets are losing by six points to the Bills.
