Saints QB Luke McCown throws for 310 yards, INT in loss

Saints quarterback Luke McCown completed 31 of 38 passes for 310 yards and an interception Sunday against the Panthers.

Starting in place of the injured Drew Brees (shoulder), McCown completed 19 of his first 20 passes, but he was unable to find the end zone. His interception was costly in the fourth quarter, though it came on a fantastic play by Panthers cornerback Josh Norman. McCown connected with nine different receivers and hardly looked uncomfortable in the role. It remains unclear how long Brees will be sidelined, which means McCown could be back under center in Week 4 against the Cowboys.
