The purge continues. Veteran DE Aaron Smith will be released and starting OG Chris Kemoeatu likewise will be let go, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported Thursday. Smith counted $2.1 million toward the 2012 cap and Kemoeatu about $5 million. The agent for defensive captain James Farrior ($2.8 million) tweeted that his client expects a release as well.
