After Peyton Manning announced his retirement back in March, Gatorade unveiled a commercial that was actually a two-minute tribute to the quarterback.

In the commercial, dozens of people recount how Manning had written them a letter during an emotional time in their life. Eli Manning, Archie Manning, Tony Dungy, Jeff Saturday, Brandon Stokley, Demaryius Thomas and Derek Jeter are all featured in the ad, which you can see below.

Of course, that ad is just begging to be spoofed, and that's exactly what happened during the ESPYs on Wednesday. During ESPN's annual show the network ran a spoof of the Gatorade ad, with several athletes reading "letters" from Manning.

One of the athletes featured in the spoof was none other than Tom Brady, who had no problem being the butt of the joke in the ad.

"I just want you to know that I think of you like a brother, a brother who lost to my other brother all the time," Brady says as he reads from Manning's letter. Brady then immediately cusses Manning out.

You probably don't need a reminder, but Brady is 0-2 against Eli Manning in Super Bowls. The craziest part of this is that someone had to go up to Brady and basically say, "Hey Tom, we want you to make fun of yourself by reading this fake letter from Peyton."

The Patriots quarterback wasn't actually at the ESPYs because he has other things to worry about, so the fake commercial was the only time he appeared during the three-hour telecast.

Anyway, Brady wasn't the only one who got made fun of in the fake ad. So did Eli.

'Dearest Eli, I've now won as many Super Bowls as you have, just FYI,'" Eli says as he reads from Peyton's letter. "He sends this note to me every week now. He also texts this to me a whole bunch."

Eli got made fun of a second time in a letter that was written to Derek Jeter.

"'Just wanted to let you know, you are my favorite New York athlete. Don't tell Eli, or tell him. I don't care. Screw it,'" Jeter says while reading Peyton's letter.

Peyton also sent a letter to Archie.

"'Dear Dad, Stop telling the media that you love all of your children equally. It's embarrassing. No one is buying it,'" Archie says, as he reads aloud.

The spoof also includes Aaron Rodgers, Al Michaels and Peyton's mom, Olivia.
