Jaguars' Ben Ijalana: Lands on IR
Ijalana (elbow) was placed on injured reserve.

Jaguars' Ben Ijalana: Out with elbow injury
Ijalana was forced out of Thursday's preseason contest against Atlanta with an elbow injury, Tad Dickman of the Jaguars' official site reports.
Ijalana originally signed with Jacksonville on Aug. 11 after spending the entire 2018 season dealing with a shoulder injury. The 30-year-old last saw regular-season action in 2017 with the Jets, where he appeared in 11 games as a reserve tackle. It's unclear how serious the elbow injury is, although it's obviously serious enough to sideline Ijalana for the rest of Thursday's game.

Ijalana suffered a shoulder injury in August 2018 and spent the entire season on injured reserve. The 30-year-old last appeared in 11 contests with the Jets in 2017 as a reserve offensive tackle.

Jets' Ben Ijalana: Sent to IR
Ijalana (shoulder) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, Eric Allen of the Jets' official site reports.
Ijalana recently sustained an unspecified shoulder injury during one of the Jets' recent joint practices with the Redskins. His placement on IR more than likely means his 2018 season is over before it began. New York signed fellow veteran Gino Gradkowski to take Ijalana's place on the active roster.

Jets' Ben Ijalana: Returning to Jets
Ijalana signed a one-year contract with the Jets on Friday, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports.
The Jets allowed Ijalana to test the open market but it's now apparent he'll be brought back for another season. Capable of playing both left and right tackle, it's possible he could open the 2018 campaign in a starting role.

Ben Ijalana: Set to hit free agency
Ijalana will become a free agent after the Jets declined to exercise his team option for the 2018 season, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.
Ijalana, who was among Pro Football Focus' worst-graded tackles in 2016, appeared in just three games for the Jets this past season. New York cleared roughly $4.6 million in cap space by letting him walk. However, it's possible he returns to the team at a reduced price this offseason.

Jets' Ben Ijalana: Back at it Tuesday
Ijalana (knee) returned to practice Tuesday, ESPN's Rich Cimini reports.
Ijalana underwent a minor knee scope in June and hadn't practiced since. Now healthy, he'll likely continue to split reps with Kelvin Beachum in training camp.

Jets' Ben Ijalana: Sidelined following knee procedure
Ijalana is not participating in practice this week after undergoing a knee scope last week, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Ijalana, who re-signed with the Jets in March on a two-year deal, is projected to be healthy for training camp as the knee issue isn't a long-term concern at this point. He'll look to earn the starting spot at left tackle once again in 2017 upon his return to full health.
