Dre Kirkpatrick: Gets waived Tuesday
Kirkpatrick (ankle) was waived by the 49ers on Tuesday.

49ers' Dre Kirkpatrick: Won't play Monday
Kirkpatrick (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Rams, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Kirkpatrick played 36 defensive snaps in last week's loss to the Cardinals but will be forced to miss at least one game with an ankle injury. K'Waun Williams should see increased work against the Rams.

49ers' Dre Kirkpatrick: Signs with San Fran
The 49ers signed Kirkpatrick on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The 49ers recently lost Jason Verrett (knee) for the season, so they are bringing in Kirkpatrick to add some veteran experience to their secondary. The 31-year-old will compete with Deommodore Lenoir and K'Waun Williams for a starting spot.

Cardinals' Dre Kirkpatrick: Productive with starting gig
Kirkpatrick tallied 56 tackles (53 solo), seven pass defenses and three interceptions in 14 contests during the 2020 season.
The Bengals cut Kirkpatrick back in March, and he waited until an opportunity arose for his next destination. When the Cardinals lost No. 2 cornerback Robert Alford to a torn pectoral during training camp, they scooped up Kirkpatrick to bolster their secondary. By Week 5, Kirkpatrick usurped Byron Murphy in the starting lineup and didn't look back, aside from missing two games due to injury. An unrestricted free agent in the offseason, the 31-year-old may be an option to return to Arizona, considering how the organization proceeds with long-time Card and fellow UFA Patrick Peterson.

Cardinals' Dre Kirkpatrick: All clear for Week 16
Kirkpatrick (hamstring/calf) is active for Saturday's game against the 49ers.
The veteran cornerback has just one game absence on the season, and he'll have an opportunity to help push Arizona to its first playoff appearance in five years with a Week 16 win. Kirkpatrick has three interceptions on the 2020 campaign, and he's containing opponents to a sub-83.0 passer rating for the second time in three years.

Cardinals' Dre Kirkpatrick: Handed questionable tag for Week 16
Kirkpatrick (hamstring/calf) is considered questionable going into Saturday's matchup against the 49ers after being held out of Thursday's practice session, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Kirkpatrick was unable to participate throughout the entire practice week, but there remains a chance for him to suit up Week 16 after he proved capable of fighting through his hamstring injury last Sunday in a win over Philadelphia. An absence from Kirkpatrick would spell more opportunities for 2019 second-round draft choice Byron Murphy, who hasn't started since Week 10.

Cardinals' Dre Kirkpatrick: Doesn't practice Wednesday
Kirkpatrick (hamstring) was held out of Wednesday's practice.
Kirkpatrick also missed last Wednesday's practice due to the hamstring injury, but he logged limited sessions Thursday and Friday before suiting up in Sunday's win over the Eagles. However, Arizona is currently on a short week -- they play San Francisco on Saturday -- making Wednesday's DNP a bit more concerning. Kirkpatrick has amassed 53 tackles (50 solo) this season and is tied for the team lead with three interceptions.
