  • Rams' Grant Stuard: Inks deal with Los Angeles

The Rams signed Stuard to a two-year contract worth up to $5.05 million Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. The 27-year-old linebacker is a foundational piece on special teams, which was a major area of struggle for the Rams last season. Only 12 players logged more snaps on special teams last season than Stuard, who finished with 19 tackles (six solo) across 17 regular-season contests.

  • Lions' Grant Stuard: Good to go Sunday

Stuard (foot) is active for Sunday's game against the Commanders. The linebacker and special teamer was limited in practice this past week due to the issue. Stuard has played more on special teams than defense this year, recording 13 tackles (four solo).

  • Lions' Grant Stuard: Signs with Detroit

Stuard agreed to a deal with the Lions on Thursday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports. Stuard spent the previous three seasons in Indianapolis, primarily utilized on special teams, but he did record 11 tackles in a spot start Week 7 of the 2024 campaign. The 26-year-old will likely reprise a similar role on his new team and provide needed depth to Detroit's linebacker corps.

  • Colts' Grant Stuard: Gets most defensive snaps of career

Stuard tallied 40 tackles (25 solo) over 17 regular-season games in 2024. While Stuard still saw the majority of his work on special teams, he logged 220 defensive snaps during the campaign, far exceeding the 54 he had recorded over his first 49 NFL regular-season contests combined. The Houston product started five games and exploded in one of those, posting 19 tackles -- almost half of his entire season total -- in Week 7 versus Miami. Stuard is set to become an unrestricted free agent and could seek a bigger role elsewhere, though his most likely role moving forward is to continue as a special-teams ace and depth defender.

  • Colts' Grant Stuard: Has 19 total tackles in win

Stuard had 19 tackles (11 solo), including one for loss, in Sunday's win over Miami. Stuard was thrust into the starting lineup at weak-side linebacker with E.J. Speed out with a knee injury and played on 64 of the defense's 69 snaps. Stuard was stout against the run with four stops in that capacity, according to Pro Football Focus. He could be in line for more playing time next week against Houston if Speed remains sidelined.

  • Colts' Grant Stuard: Dealing with pectoral injury

Stuard didn't return to Sunday's loss to the Titans due to a pectoral injury, George Bremer of The Anderson Herald Bulletin reports. Stuard didn't record any stats prior to being ruled out in the second half of Sunday's defeat. It's not yet clear whether he'll be able to suit up next week against Washington.
