  • Panthers' Luiji Vilain: Appears Thursday

    Vilain (knee) appeared in Thursday's preseason loss to the Patriots, Kassidy Hill and Darin Gantt of the team's official site report. Vilain saw much of his 2023 season from the sideline as he battled with a knee injury. The 6-foot-4 linebacker has now recovered from the injury and appeared in 30 defensive snaps and 13 special teams snaps for the Panthers on Thursday.

    Vilain has left Sunday's game against the Colts due to a knee injury, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports. Vilain was seeing action for the second time this season, but his time on the field may end up being cut short by the injury. The Wake Forest product's absence will likely only impact the Panthers on special teams.
