Jaden Smith: Cut loose by Tampa Bay

Smith was waived by the Buccaneers on Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Smith missed the entirety of the 2025 campaign while on injured reserve with an undisclosed injury, and he'll now hit the open market. The wide receiver wasn't waived with an injury designation, meaning that he has moved past whatever he was dealing with. Smith entered the league as an undrafted free agent last year after wrapping his collegiate career at Nevada, and he'll look to latch on with a new team in an attempt to make his NFL debut in 2026.
