Hairston (ankle) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's matchup with the Jaguars.
Hairston originally drew a questionable designation after limited participation at practice throughout the week. It is unclear if he suffered a setback, but he will not play Sunday. Pierre Desir and Quicy Wilson will presumably see their workload increased as a result of his absence.
Hairston (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
Hairston was able to log limited practice sessions all week, and his availability could be a game-time decision. The second-year cornerback has struggled at times this season, but is projected to draw the start against the Jaguars on Sunday if healthy.
Hairston was benched after allowing a first-half touchdown and played just nine snaps on defense, ESPN 1070 am Indianapolis reports.
Pierre Desir got more playing time as a result. It's not clear if Hariston will return to a starting role after Indy's upcoming bye week.
Hairston (ankle) was a full participant in Thursday's practice.
If Hairston can go full speed for Friday's practice as well, he should be expected to play Sunday versus the Jets. Hairston has seen plenty of action at cornerback thus far, tallying 23 tackles and one pass breakup through four games.
Hairston (ankle) will not suit up against the Patriots on Thursday, Zak Keefer of The Indianapolis Star reports.
Despite being listed as active, Hairston will not dress for Thursday Night Football. Expect Pierre Desir to serve as Indianapolis' starting left cornerback as long as Hairston remains sidelined.
