Chargers' Brandon Facyson: Staying with Chargers
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Facyson re-signed with the Chargers on Friday, Howard Balzer of SI.com reports.

Los Angeles elected not to tender a restricted free agent contract to Facyson, instead gambling on retaining the 26-year-old via the open market. The former Virginia Tech standout will return for a fourth season with the organization after fielding 281 of his 330 snaps on special teams during 2020.

Chargers' Brandon Facyson: Back from COVID list
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Facyson (undisclosed) was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Facyson hasn't seen the field since Week 8 but should be back for Los Angeles this weekend. The 26-year-old currently has a roster exemption, so the Chargers have a few days before he needs to be moved to the active roster.

Chargers' Brandon Facyson: Listed as questionable
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Facyson (illness) is considered questionable for Sunday's matchup with the Raiders, Jeff Miller of the Los Angeles Times reports.

If ultimately able to go, Facyson could be in for a bigger role than usual, as Casey Hayward is also listed as questionable (personal) for the contest. More clarity on Facyson's status should come as kickoff approaches.

Chargers' Brandon Facyson: Struggles in limited starts
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Facyson piled together 42 tackles (30 solo) and one pass defended during the 2019 season.

Facyson was in the starting lineup Weeks 1-3 with Michael Davis (hamstring) and Trevor Williams (quad) injured, but quickly ceded time after the duo returned to form. Facyson got back on the field in Week 13 and 14, but the Broncos and Jaguars ruthlessly targeted the young corner, ultimately forcing him back to the bench to end the season. The Chargers are expected to retain Davis, who is a restricted free agent, meaning Facyson will likely act as a depth option moving forward.

Chargers' Brandon Facyson: Manages nine tackles in loss
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Facyson notched nine tackles (five solo) during Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Broncos.

Facyson started at cornerback in place of Michael Davis (suspension) during the Week 13 loss. He made nine tackles after recording just four stops in his last eight games. Facyson stands to receive another large workload on defense Week 14 against the Jaguars, but he could return to a depth role after that.

Chargers' Brandon Facyson: Another solid tackling day
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Facyson piled together eight tackles (six solo) in the 13-10 loss Sunday to the Lions.

Facyson's solid day Sunday has him ranked No. 2 among defensive backs in tackles through two weeks, while he's benefiting in large part from injuries to Michael Davis (hamstring) and Trevor Williams (quadriceps). Of course, an ample amount of tackle opportunities means teams have been testing the young corner as opposed to veteran stalwart Casey Hayward, but that should only mean Facyson will continue to be a productive IDP option for owners looking to bolster their secondary.

Chargers' Brandon Facyson: Racks up tackles in opener
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Facyson recorded nine total tackles (seven solo) in Sunday's 30-24 overtime win against the Colts.

Facyson was on the field for 58 of 63 possible defensive snaps (92 percent) and 18 of 26 possible special teams snaps (69 percent). The 24-year-old had more total tackles in Sunday's game than he had through 15 games last season (three). With Michael Davis (hamstring) leaving the game early and Trevor Williams (quadriceps) not suiting up, there were plenty of reps to go around at corner and Facyson took advantage of his opportunities.

Chargers' Brandon Facyson: Gearing up for playoff game
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Facyson (concussion) will suit up for Sunday's divisional playoff game versus the Patriots.

Facyson plays strictly in a special teams role, having logged just six defensive snaps over 16 games this year, including the wild-card playoff game. He will add depth at cornerback in case any of the starters succumb to injury.
