Kirkland signed a contract with the Raiders on Tuesday.
Kirkland was previously waived by the Raiders on Dec. 1 but has rejoined the team's 53-man roster. The 24-year-old will provide depth for the interior of Oakland's offensive line heading into the final stretch of the regular season.
Kirkland was waived by the Raiders on Saturday, Michael Gehlken of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
Kirkland signed with the Raiders in late October but was only active for one game. The team's activation of Justin Ellis (foot) off injured reserve prompted the move.
Kirkland would have become an unrestricted free agent had he not been tendered. The 24-year-old lineman spent the entire 2017 season on injured reserve due to a preseason knee injury but there's no concern he's at risk of missing the Raiders' offseason program.
