Broncos' Trey Marshall: Suffers injury Sunday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Marshall was forced out of Sunday's game against the Dolphins with a lower leg injury, Patrick Smyth of the Broncos' official site reports.

Marshall plays almost exclusively on special teams, but his absence will affect the team's depth at safety behind starters Kareem Jackson and Justin Simmons, both of whom play every defensive snap.

Broncos' Trey Marshall: Shakes off ailment
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Marshall (illness) is officially active for Sunday's contest against the Falcons.

Marshall failed to practice Friday after he felt under the weather with a non-COVID-19 related illness, so this is certainly good news for the Florida State product. Marshall rarely contributes on defense, so look for him to log his playing time on special teams now that he's officially playing.

Broncos' Trey Marshall: Carries questionable tag
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Marshall (illness) is questionable for Sunday's game versus the Falcons, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.

Marshall popped up as a nonparticipant Friday due to an illness, and there haven't been any reports that it's related to COVID-19. The 24-year-old could be a game-time decision. He almost never plays on defense, but Marshall leads the Broncos with four special-teams tackles.

Broncos' Trey Marshall: Staying in Denver
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Marshall will remain with the Broncos after the team placed a contract tender on the exclusive rights free agent Tuesday, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.

Marshall helped provide depth in the secondary for the Broncos in 2019. The 25-year-old recorded 25 tackles (19 solo) and forced one fumble across 16 games. He will now look to earn a bigger role in 2020.

Broncos' Trey Marshall: Leads team in tackles
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Marshall recorded nine tackles during Sunday's 27-17 win over the Lions.

The seldom-used safety seemed to get beat over the top during the Lions' opening drive for a 35-yard gain to Kenny Golladay. He quickly bounced back to lead the team in tackles in a game in which the Broncos' surrendered a season-low 191 yards. He's likely to get the start again in Week 17 against Oakland in place of the suspended Kareem Jackson.

Broncos' Trey Marshall: Starting versus Lions
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Marshall will start at safety in Kareem Jackson's (suspension) place Sunday against the Lions, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.

Kareem Jackson won't play again this year, so Marshall and Will Parks were the main options to replace him. Marshall -- an undrafted free agent out of Florida State -- gets the edge despite playing just 37 defensive snaps this year compared to Parks' 462. Parks still figures to get plenty of playing time in nickel and dime packages, but Marshall is in line for an every-down role.

Broncos' Trey Marshall: Good to go Sunday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Marshall (leg) is active for Sunday's game against the Titans.

Marshall avoided missing his first game of the season. He normally doesn't play often on defense, but the Broncos' secondary is so banged up that Marshall could see an uptick in his usage.

Broncos' Trey Marshall: Questionable with leg injury
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Marshall (leg) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Titans, Zac Stevens of DNVR reports.

Marshall evidently picked up the leg injury in last week's win over the Chargers, casting some doubt on his status for Sunday's contest. He's been limited to a special teams role this season, racking up three tackles through five games.

Broncos' Trey Marshall: Will play Monday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Marshall (neck) will suit up for Monday's game versus the Raiders, Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic reports.

Marshall played strictly on special teams in two games last year. He's expected to play in a similar role this year behind Kareem Jackson, Justin Simmons and Will Parks.

Broncos' Trey Marshall: Promoted to active roster
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

The Broncos promoted Marshall to the active roster Monday, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.

According to the report, the Cardinals attempted to lure Marshall away from Denver's practice squad, forcing the Broncos' hand. He'll take the roster spot vacated by Shamarko Thomas and will likely be used on special teams.
