Wilson said after Sunday's 33-30 win at Dallas that he suffered two broken ribs during the contest, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Wilson missed some time spanning the second and third quarter to be evaluated for an undisclosed injury, but he was able to return to action, finishing Week 8 with eight catches (on 15 targets) for 111 yards and one touchdown while taking one carry for 17 yards. Considering he was able to play through the pain and act as a favorite target for both QBs Jacoby Brissett and later Gardner Minshew, Wilson may not be in danger of missing additional time, but a rib injury has plagued him the last two games, so his status bears monitoring to see if that may be the case next Sunday in Seattle.

Cardinals' Michael Wilson: Back in Sunday's contest
Rotowire
Wilson (undisclosed) returned to Sunday's contest in Dallas, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' officials site reports.
Wilson paid a visit to the medical tent late in the second quarter to be evaluated for an apparent injury after he dove for a Jacoby Brissett deep ball, which left him slow to get off the turf. Having said that, Wilson was able to return in the third quarter and likely will be one of Brissett's top targets for the rest of the game with RB Jeremiyah Love (ankle) and WR Kendrick Bourne (ankle) exiting with their own injuries.

Cardinals' Michael Wilson: No designation for Sunday
Rotowire
Wilson (ribs) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game in Dallas, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Wilson donned a yellow non-contact jersey all week due to what he called sore ribs, but after head coach Mike LaFleur told Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic that the wide receiver was in line to play Sunday, his lack of designation confirms as much. LaFleur also relayed to Howard Balzer of USA Today that "pain tolerance" will dictate how much Wilson can handle in Week 8, which could inhibit him from earning the 9.4 targets per game that he's averaged through seven appearances this season.

Cardinals' Michael Wilson: Slated to play Sunday
Rotowire
Head coach Mike LaFleur said Friday that Wilson (ribs) is expected to play Sunday at Dallas, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.
Wilson has been tending to sore ribs this week, which so far has forced him to wear a yellow non-contact jersey Wednesday and Thursday and be listed as limited. LaFleur also told Howard Balzer of USA Today that "pain tolerance" is the operative word with Wilson. Friday's injury report will determine if Wilson has a designation for Week 8 action.

Cardinals' Michael Wilson: Stays limited Thursday
Rotowire
Wilson (ribs) was a limited practice participant Thursday, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.
For a second day in a row, Wilson was donning a yellow non-contact jersey on the practice field, and he received the same limited listing as a result. He relayed to Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com on Wednesday that he's tending to sore ribs, but there's been no indication that he's in danger of missing Sunday's game in Dallas. Friday's injury report will reveal if Wilson has a designation ahead of that matchup.

Cardinals' Michael Wilson: Remains in non-contact jersey
Rotowire
Wilson (ribs) wore a yellow non-contact jersey for a second consecutive practice Thursday, Bo Brack of PHNX Cardinals reports.
Wilson is dealing with sore ribs in the wake of this past Sunday's loss to the Broncos, which resulted in a limited session Wednesday and likely will cap his reps one day later. Thursday's injury report will reveal his activity level.

Cardinals' Michael Wilson: WRs to Start
Rotowire
Marvin Harrison Jr. left the Cardinals, and Wilson got worse, which is what I expected. In three games without Harrison, Wilson has combined for 22 targets for 12 catches, 117 yards and no touchdowns, and he scored 10.6 PPR points or less in each outing. But he should get back on track in Week 8 against the Cowboys, who are No. 10 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers. A receiver has scored at least 12.9 PPR points against Dallas in every game this season, and Wilson has the best chance to do that for the Cardinals in Week 8. I also like Kendrick Bourne as a sleeper given the matchup, but Wilson should perform like a No. 2 Fantasy receiver in all leagues.

Cardinals' Michael Wilson: Limited Wednesday
Rotowire
Wilson (ribs) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Wilson was seen wearing a yellow non-contact jersey Wednesday, per Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic. Afterward, Wilson told Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com that he emerged from this past Sunday's loss to the Broncos with sore ribs, hence the reason for the jersey. Wilson will have two more chances to get back to full this week before the Cardinals potentially tag him with a designation for Sunday's game at Dallas.

Cardinals' Michael Wilson: Catches four of eight Week 7 targets
Rotowire
Wilson caught four of eight targets for 55 yards in Sunday's 30-16 loss to the Broncos. He also rushed twice for 11 yards.
Wilson finished second on the team behind Trey McBride in catches, receiving yards and targets. The fourth-year wideout has drawn at least seven targets in every game this season, but Wilson has exceeded 56 receiving yards only twice in seven tries. Wilson hasn't stepped up since the Cardinals traded away Marvin Harrison, but the upcoming Week 8 matchup with Dallas' beatable secondary creates a potential breakout opportunity for Arizona's No. 1 wide receiver.

Cardinals' Michael Wilson: WRs to Sit
Rotowire
I thought Wilson would be awesome once the Cardinals moved on from Marvin Harrison Jr., but the exact opposite has happened. In two games without Harrison, Wilson has scored 7.3 PPR points or less in each outing against Detroit and the Rams. He has eight catches for 62 yards and no touchdowns over that span on 14 targets, and he will be tough to trust in two-receiver leagues in Week 7 against the Broncos, especially if Patrick Surtain II (ankle) is able to play. Denver has allowed eight receivers this season to score at least 10 PPR points, and Wilson is still worth using in three-receiver leagues. But he's struggling as the No. 1 receiver without Harrison on the field, and that should continue in Week 7.

Cardinals' Michael Wilson: Four catches in first game after MHJ trade
Rotowire
Wilson caught four of seven targets for 32 yards in Sunday's 18-16 win over the Rams.
Wilson finished third on the team in catches, targets and receiving yards, trailing Trey McBride and Kendrick Bourne in all three categories in Arizona's first game since trading Marvin Harrison to Houston. Bourne seems to be the biggest beneficiary of Harrison's departure, as he tied his season high with eight targets and had five catches for 47 yards Sunday, while Wilson has been limited to seven targets in both of the games Arizona has played without Harrison. Wilson should continue to work as a key target for Jacoby Brissett when the Cardinals host the Broncos in Week 7.

Cardinals' Michael Wilson: Limited by Lions in loss
Rotowire
Wilson brought in four of seven targets for 30 yards and completed his only pass attempt for seven yards in the Cardinals' 45-21 loss to the Lions on Sunday.
Wilson wasn't able to approach his usual elevated numbers against a Lions defense that had struggled against the pass. The typically busy receiver still finished tied for third in targets and also slotted in third in receptions, but Wilson ultimately generated his second-lowest reception and receiving yardage tallies of 2026. Marvin Harrison was traded to the Texans earlier Sunday, so despite Wilson's quiet afternoon, fantasy managers now know Wilson will have one fewer competitor for targets from Jacoby Brissett moving forward.

Cardinals' Michael Wilson: WRs to Start
Rotowire
Wilson had a standout game in Week 3 at San Francisco with 11 catches for 89 yards and a touchdown on 17 targets, and he firmly established himself as the No. 1 receiver for the Cardinals. He should have the chance for another solid outing in Week 4 at the Giants, who are without star pass rusher Brian Burns (knee). Three receivers (CeeDee Lamb, Davante Adams and Wan'Dale Robinson) have already scored at least 15.4 PPR points against the Giants, and Wilson should be considered a No. 2 Fantasy receiver in all leagues in Week 4.

Cardinals' Michael Wilson: Peppered with targets in loss
Rotowire
Wilson secured 11 of 17 targets for 89 yards and a touchdown in the Cardinals' 36-30 loss to the 49ers on Sunday.
Wilson's afternoon was reminiscent of several of those in his 2025 campaign, as the veteran receiver garnered a bulk of Jacoby Brissett's attention in his short- and mid-range role while leading the team in receptions, receiving yards and targets. Marvin Harrison was a bit more involved Sunday with three catches for 40 yards on five targets, but it appears clear Wilson and Trey McBride have far and away the most chemistry with Brissett. Wilson will take an 18-163-1 line on 31 targets in a Week 4 road matchup against the Giants next Sunday.

Cardinals' Michael Wilson: Sleeper WRs
Rotowire
It's been a slow start to the season for Wilson with a combined seven catches for 74 yards and no touchdowns on 14 targets against the Chargers and Seahawks. The good news is he leads the Cardinals in targets, and hopefully he'll have a breakout game in Week 3 at San Francisco. He has scored at least 12.8 PPR points in three of his past five games against the 49ers, including Week 11 last season with 15 catches for 185 yards on 18 targets. I wouldn't expect anything close to that with Marvin Harrison Jr. healthy (he missed that game in 2025) and Kendrick Bourne now a factor, but Wilson is worth starting in all three-receiver leagues. San Francisco has allowed one receiver to score at least 12.4 PPR points in each of the first two games against the Rams (Puka Nacua) and Dolphins (Ryan Miller).

Cardinals' Michael Wilson: Opens season with five catches
Rotowire
Wilson secured five of seven targets for 56 yards in the Cardinals' 26-14 win over the Chargers on Sunday.
Wilson saw No. 3 receiver Kendrick Bourne outpace him by three catches, 19 receiving yards and one target, an interesting development to at least keep in mind in the early portion of the season. However, Wilson still enjoyed a solid role that saw him record four more catches on four additional targets than No. 1 wideout Marvin Harrison, and there's no questioning Wilson's chemistry with Jacoby Brissett after the duo generated multiple fantasy-friendly stat lines last season. Wilson therefore retains plenty of fantasy viability despite a tough Week 2 home matchup against the Seahawks next Sunday.

Cardinals' Michael Wilson: Potential extension looming?
Rotowire
The Cardinals have made attempts to figure out a contract extension with Wilson ahead of the 2026 campaign, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports.
A 2023 third-round pick of Arizona, Wilson wasn't able to tap into his full potential until his third season in 2025, but once QB Jacoby Brissett took over the offense Week 6, the wide receiver was off and running thereafter, posting a 70-954-6 line on 108 targets over the final 12 contests. The run included three 100-yard receiving games and at least one touchdown grab in each of the final five weeks. Entering the final year of his rookie contract, his situation is pending, and whether it gets decided before Week 1 or next offseason remains to be seen.

Cardinals' Michael Wilson: In line for extension?
Rotowire
Wilson is a candidate for a contract extension as he enters the final year of his rookie deal, Darren Urban of azcardinals.com reports.
Coming off a 1,000-yard breakout last season, Wilson told reporters Wednesday that his contract situation won't dictate his offseason. He's been participating in voluntary practices, catching passes from Gardner Minshew, Carson Beck and Kedon Slovis while Jacoby Brissett remains away from the team due to his own contract situation. Anyone invested in Wilson's success is rooting for Brissett to make as many starts as possible, though the fantasy results presumably will be less impressive now that the Cardinals have a new coaching staff and a new backfield. Wilson's late-season surge occurred in an offense without WR Marvin Harrison or RB Jeremiyah Love, and with Brissett attempting more than 40 passes per game. Wilson handled the volume well, but that doesn't mean he'll see anything similar in a 2026 Arizona offense in which Love and TE Trey McBride look like the safest bets to pile up volume.

Cardinals' Michael Wilson: First 1,000-yard season of career
Rotowire
Wilson had five receptions on eight targets for 99 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 37-20 loss to the Rams.
WR Marvin Harrison was officially placed on IR after reinjuring his heel in Week 17, affording Wilson the opportunity to ball out in his teammate's absence like he already had on multiple occasions this season. The 25-year-old Wilson experienced a true breakout campaign after reaching 1,000 receiving yards for the first time in his three-year career. A significant portion of Stanford product's 78-1,006-7 line came in games that either QB Jacoby Brissett started or Harrison missed due to injury, so Wilson's 2026 outlook will hinge greatly on how committed the franchise will remain to the underperforming duo of Harrison and Kyler Murray. Wilson will enter next season playing on the fourth year of what now feels like an undervalued rookie contract.

Cardinals' Michael Wilson: WRs to Start
Rotowire
Marvin Harrison Jr. (foot) won't play in Week 18 at the Rams, and that makes Wilson a No. 1 Fantasy receiver in all leagues. Harrison missed four games this season and left early in another, and Wilson averaged 25.8 PPR points over that span. In those five games, Wilson averaged 14 targets per game, and he also had 11 catches for 142 yards and two touchdowns on 16 targets against the Rams in Week 14.
