Nick Foligno knees Fleischmann, stuns Nathan Beaulieu in fight

Columbus Blue Jackets captain Nick Foligno had an eventful game against the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday night.
He snapped what had been a 20-game goal drought when he scored his second goal of the season in the first period to tie the game at one. In the second period, things turned physical for him.
After catching Canadiens forward Tomas Fleischmann with what looked to be a knee-on-knee hit along the boards, Foligno was challenged by Nathan Beaulieu to a fight, a decision that Beaulieu probably started to regret as soon as Foligno landed a couple of heavy punches to his face.
Foligno was not penalized for the initial hit along the boards, while he and Beaulieu both received the standard five-minute majors for fighting.
What is surprising -- and more than a little concerning -- is that Beaulieu was able to stay in the game after he looked dazed after the fight. He was not available to speak to the media after the game because he was in the trainer's room receiving medical attention, according to the team.
The Blue Jackets went on to lose the game after a Scott Hartnell tripping penalty late in the third period resulted in a Max Pacioretty power play goal.
